Portfolio

Three practices, one platform in development.

One rule governs all of them: benchmark it, or don’t claim it. Where a quantum method beats the classical baseline we will show you the numbers. Where it does not, we will tell you that instead.

01 — Decision Intelligence

The hard part isn’t the algorithm. It’s getting it into the system your planners actually use.

Quantum-inspired and hybrid optimisation runs on ordinary CPUs and GPUs today — no quantum hardware, no capital expenditure. The solvers are not the bottleneck. The documented blocker is integration: hybrid solvers have to synchronise with planning, MES and ERP systems that were never designed for that interface.

That gap is where we work. A solver that produces a better schedule but cannot write it back into SAP has changed nothing on the shop floor. Our founding team has spent decades inside those systems.

Industrial and supply chain optimisation

Production scheduling, network and route optimisation, inventory positioning and capacity planning for manufacturing, logistics and distribution.

Benchmarked against your current solver, with the comparison published in the report whichever way it falls.

Financial risk and portfolio modelling

Portfolio construction, scenario and risk modelling, and settlement or netting optimisation problems where classical methods hit combinatorial limits.

Delivered with explainability built in — a result a risk committee cannot interrogate is not a result.

Explainable forecasting

Demand and inventory forecasting where the planner must be able to interrogate the answer. Our approach is published, peer-reviewed and entirely classical — gradient boosting with SHAP attribution, so every prediction traces back to the factors that drove it.

Available today. No quantum component, no waiting. See Research for the paper and its DOI.

Life sciences & clinical decision support

Diagnostic and clinical machine learning, and the operational side of pharma: trial site selection, cold-chain and distribution planning, and production scheduling for regulated manufacturing.

Backed by five peer-reviewed papers in clinical diagnostics — tumour detection from MRI, cardiac screening, renal and endocrine diagnosis, and breast cancer classification. Four carry DOIs. See Research.

Where this is heading

Molecular simulation and computational drug discovery are the deepest problems in this field, and the ones quantum will eventually reshape most. They sit on our long-term research track: we follow the hardware maturity curve closely and are building the academic partnerships that will make them deliverable.

Today we work across the clinical and operational side of life sciences, where our published record already sits.

Methods, and hardware

Quantum-inspired classical solvers, hybrid formulations, and where technically appropriate QAOA, VQE and QFT-based approaches. Reference implementations, benchmarked — not production software claims.

We own no quantum hardware and are tied to none. Quantum-inspired methods run on the CPUs and GPUs you already have; where a genuine QPU helps, we reach one over the cloud. That leaves you free to change your mind about which hardware wins.

If a classical solver is the right answer, that is the recommendation you will get.

How an engagement runs

Four rungs. Stop at any of them.

Each rung produces the input the next one needs, and each ends in a decision you could act on without buying the next.

Rung 01Available now

Optimisation Feasibility Sprint

We take one decision that costs you money — a production schedule, a delivery round, a multi-echelon inventory policy — and establish whether better is achievable at all. That begins by measuring what your current method actually produces, which is the step most vendors skip.

Named outputs
  • A formal model of the problem, its constraints and its objective
  • A measured baseline from your current method, on your own data
  • A go / no-go recommendation with the reasoning shown

Typically 4–6 weeks · For Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing IT

Rung 02Available now

Solver Bake-off

Your incumbent solver against quantum-inspired and hybrid approaches, on your data, measured on what you are accountable for: cost, throughput, on-time delivery, and how long a run takes.

Published work on hybrid supply-chain frameworks reports cost reductions in the low-to-mid teens on standardised benchmarks. Your number will come from your data, not from a benchmark suite — measured on your constraints, your volumes and your objective, and stated in the report whichever way it falls.

Named outputs
  • Head-to-head results, incumbent versus candidates, on identical inputs
  • Run-time and infrastructure cost for each approach
  • A written scale / improve / stop verdict

Typically 6–8 weeks · For Operations, Data & Analytics leaders

Rung 03Available now

ERP-Integrated Deployment

The rung almost nobody else sells, and the reason we think we can win here. Taking the solver that won the bake-off and wiring it into the system of record — SAP S/4HANA, IBP or APO, your MES or WMS — so the optimised plan arrives where planners already work rather than in a spreadsheet nobody opens.

That means master-data quality, integration patterns, run scheduling, a fallback to the incumbent when the solver underperforms, and a change process operations will actually adopt.

Named outputs
  • Integration architecture and the data contract between systems
  • A parallel-run period with the incumbent still authoritative
  • Documented fallback, so a bad solve degrades rather than stops the line
  • Handover to your team, not a dependency on ours

Scoped per estate · For Manufacturing IT, ERP and Supply Chain leadership

Decision Support Retainer

Optimisation models decay. Demand patterns shift, constraints change, and a model tuned for last year quietly stops earning its keep. This is continuous monitoring for solution drift, periodic re-benchmarking against the incumbent, and re-tuning as the business changes.

The monitoring tooling is in active development, built with organisations we are already delivering for, so it is shaped by real production models rather than assumptions.

Named outputs
  • Drift and performance reporting against the original baseline
  • Scheduled re-benchmarking, keeping the incumbent honest
  • Model re-tuning as constraints change

Monthly retainer · Available to existing engagement clients

02 — Applied Research & Co-Innovation

Joint programmes, co-owned IP.

Structured, milestone-based research programmes with enterprises, government agencies and academic partners. This is where genuinely early work belongs — labelled as early, rather than sold as ready.

Collaborative development programmes

Milestone-based engagements to co-develop solutions to entrenched technical problems, with defined gates and an agreed exit at each one.

Feasibility and proof-of-concept design

Short, bounded studies that establish whether a problem is worth pursuing before anyone commits a budget to it.

Grant consortia

We participate in and help assemble funded research consortia. Our published research record is the reason we can. See Research.

Intellectual property and licensing

Research collaborations produce co-owned IP with licensing pathways agreed at the outset, not negotiated after a breakthrough.

Applied research translation

Taking a method that works in a paper and hardening it until it survives a production environment. Most of the work is in the second half.

Current research tracks

Cryptographic protocol design, quantum-AI for predictive maintenance, and forecasting for agricultural and weather risk. Each is labelled with its real status on the Research page.

03 — Quantum Infrastructure Readiness

Independent, because we have nothing on the shelf to sell you.

We help you decide what to buy, whether to buy it yet, and how it would fit the estate you already run. Independent of any vendor, because we do not resell and take no commissions.

Evaluation and vendor assessment

Technical due diligence on quantum compute access, networking and cryptographic hardware proposals, including the questions vendors would rather you did not ask.

Architecture and integration planning

How quantum or quantum-safe components would sit inside real enterprise infrastructure — control systems, identity, key management, and the operational burden each adds.

Procurement support

Requirements definition, evaluation criteria and a defensible written recommendation your procurement and audit functions can rely on.

Q-Ready Monitor — a continuous view of your cryptographic posture.

A cryptographic inventory is accurate on the day it is delivered and decaying by the end of the week. New services deploy, dependencies change, certificates rotate, and algorithms get deprecated.

We are building a platform that keeps a CBOM current: automated discovery across code, cloud and network; a crypto-agility score per system so you know how hard each fix will be; and a compliance view that maps every finding to the specific mandate and date it breaches.

It is in active development, built alongside a small number of organisations we already work with and shaped by their production estates. We will open it more widely once it earns that.

Focus sectors

Five sectors, not fifteen.

We work where our research record and the regulatory pressure actually overlap. If your sector is not listed, we will say so rather than stretch.

Financial services

Long-lived confidentiality obligations, dense PKI, and DORA and NIS2 resilience testing overlapping the migration window.

Government & defence

The hardest deadlines and the clearest published guidance, across UK and US instruments.

Manufacturing & critical infrastructure

Long-lived hardware roots of trust and operational technology that cannot simply be patched.

Logistics & distribution

Routing, fleet and multi-echelon inventory decisions where combinatorial complexity is the constraint and the planning system is the bottleneck.

Life sciences & diagnostics

Clinical decision support, medical imaging, and pharma operations — trials, cold chain and regulated manufacturing. Long data-sensitivity windows also make this a harvest-now-decrypt-later sector.
